Data Deletion
Last updated: 25 June 2026
You can delete your data from Shortifi at any time. This page explains the options, including how to remove data obtained through accounts you connected (such as Facebook or Instagram).
1. Disconnect a single connected account
To remove only the data tied to one connected social network:
- Sign in to Shortifi and open Channels (under your workspace).
- Select the connected account and choose Disconnect.
Disconnecting immediately revokes and deletes the access tokens we stored for that account, along with the basic profile details we kept for it. Posts you already published to that network are not affected, because they live on the network, not on Shortifi.
2. Delete your entire account
To remove your whole Shortifi account and the personal data associated with it:
- Sign in and go to Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
This removes your profile, your workspaces and their links and posts, and the access tokens for every connected social account. We retain only records we are legally required to keep (for example, past invoices).
3. Request deletion by email
If you can’t sign in, or you’d prefer we handle it, email privacy@shortifi.me from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will verify your request and complete it within 30 days.
4. Removing data obtained through Facebook or Instagram
If you connected a Facebook Page or Instagram account, you can remove the data we obtained in either of these ways:
- Disconnect the channel in Shortifi (see step 1 above), which deletes the access token we stored, or delete your account entirely (step 2); and / or
- Remove Shortifi from your Facebook account directly: Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, then remove “Shortifi”. This revokes our access at the source.
To request confirmation of deletion, contact privacy@shortifi.me.
